outreach events

We plan regular opportunities to seek the welfare of our city through broad sowing opportunities. Our goal in each churchwide local ministry event is to provide wide, general outreach that meets felt needs within the community and grow in relationship for non-Christians. Thereby, each event provides opportunity to expose a broad swath of the community to our church.

Examples of these “broad sowing” opportunities include:

St. Jude Marathon

The St. Jude Marathon provides an opportunity for ICC to encourage runners during the St. Jude Marathon and raise awareness for families whose children experience pediatric cancer care. This yearly event occurs the first Saturday of December.

Community Fall Fest

The Community Fall Fest blesses our surrounding communities and partners by inviting them to our space and providing a space for connections. This yearly event occurs during the Last Saturday of October.

Shelby County School Events

We engage in city-wide initiatives that affect educators and students within our city. Shelby County Schools provides various opportunities for outreach throughout the year such as welcoming children back to school, providing appropriate clothing for students in need, and participating in literacy coaching. These events occur quarterly throughout the school year.

Community Prayer Walks/Tours

Bi-monthly, we will enter into communities to intercede on their behalf. We also commit to learn more about each community by taking tours and hearing from local community members. We regularly connect with residents within each of our four main communities.
