This Fall, we’re spending twelve weeks journeying through the book of Acts in a series called This Is Our Story. Acts is certainly the story of what God did through the earliest followers of Jesus, but it’s more than history—it gives us a picture of what the risen Jesus still desires to do in and through His people today.

Every week will bring rich and surprising stories filled with characters, conflict, movement, cities, opposition, miracles, conversations, conversions, disagreements, and suffering. But underneath those stories are deeply relevant questions for us: What is my purpose? How do I recognize God’s opportunities? What does it mean to be filled with the Spirit? How should Christians respond to hostility? Who am I overlooking? How do I talk about Jesus naturally and faithfully? What does mission look like in my workplace? Can God really use me? What happens when God’s plan doesn’t match mine? And how does the gospel address Memphis?

After a season of asking God to renew us, we want to keep asking: What does He now want to do through us? Over these twelve weeks, we’ll rediscover together what it means to live as Spirit-filled, gospel-centered people who recognize that wherever God has placed us, we’ve been sent there with purpose. Jesus is still at work. His gospel is still changing lives. His mission is still moving forward. And this is still our story.
