In 2013, Sladjan Milenkovic and his daughter, Sara, journeyed to Memphis hoping St. Jude could help treat her serious and rare form of cancer. When ICC was serving dinner at St. Jude’s Target House we met the Milenkovics. Their heart to see Serbian people know Jesus and their work through HUB Bible School encouraged us greatly. God healed Sara of her cancer and the Milenkovics returned to Serbia. Our friendship with the family eventually gave birth to our first partnership in Eastern Europe, which continues to this day.

After returning home, the Milenkovic family purposed to start a joy-filled hopeful experience for families affected by pediatric cancer in Serbia, where there is great gospel need. In 2015, Sladjan and ICC partnered together to make this dream a reality, and Camp Hope was born. Since then, Camp Hope continues to offer these families hope, respite, and community on an annual basis.
