ICC Family, Partners, and Friends --
We are thrilled to share some incredible news: we are officially under contract in hopes to purchase 686 North 7th Street, the potential home for ICC's first church plant in North Memphis—Northside Community Church! This milestone, recently finalized, is a direct answer to our prayers and hard work over the past months as we searched for the perfect assembly location.
While we initially didn’t plan on purchasing a property, this opportunity is too good to pass up. The cost is extraordinarily affordable ($535,000), and this property offers us a permanent home for daily community ministry (a full gym & commercial kitchen!), Sunday assemblies, and an anchor in the North Memphis community. We are overjoyed that God has opened this door for us!
Below, you will find vision documents for our church plant and specific details about this property.
We need your help! Right now, we need EVERYONE to take these three actions. Together, we can secure a lasting home in North Memphis that will be a stronghold of hope and refuge for those in need of our Savior for generations.
1) Pray: This is crucial. We all need discernment and wisdom as we move forward, and we need God’s provision to make this possible.
- "Campaign 686" has begun! The cost of the building is $535,000. We need to raise $107,000 (20% down payment) in the next 60 days (by November 3rd) to secure the property.
- How it works:
- Make a pledge by November 3, 2024.
- Fulfill your pledge by December 3, 2024. - Imagine if 300 of us pledged $300 each—we would have $90,000, more than enough to close! Every pledge matters, no matter the size.
- What if, together, we didn’t even need to take out a loan? We urge you to consider what you can give sacrificially for this kingdom opportunity and fill out a pledge commitment in faith.
3) Spread the Word: Share this news with your family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers who care about our city and the North Memphis community. Make a request of a corporation you know who gives back to community causes or a foundation that grants money toward efforts like this. Encourage them to be a part of this mission by sending them the link to this website. By making a financial pledge, they too can help secure a physical space in the neighborhood that will serve as an anchor and refuge for those in need of our Savior.
Together, we can make a significant impact. Thank you for your support and commitment to this incredible opportunity!
With love,
Barrett (Lead Pastor, Island Community Church) and Jordan (Lead Pastor / Church Planter, Northside Community Church)
