Check out our upcoming ministry opportunities and find out how you can be involved!
DUE TO COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS (UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE):
We invite you to join us this Sunday at 9am for worship online! Even though we are scattered physically throughout our community and country, we can still gather together online via live stream to seek the presence and help of God.
Join us this Sunday at 9am online for a special time of worship, prayer, and social connection. (Note: There will be a replay of our live stream at 11am with additional opportunity for social connection.) Click here for a direct connection to our live stream.
We desire to lead you and your family to hope in God in this midst of this Coronavirus community and global crisis. We remain committed to our ministry's vision and purposes.
However, our ministry strategies have changed. To learn more about our current strategies and our resources to help you in this season, please click here. Our COVID-19 page offers full explanations from our Lead Pastor on these important changes.
We are so excited for our summer season at ICC! This summer we will focus on our Gospel identity both personally and as a church. Click here to learn more about Summer Sundays, Summer Study, Summer Serve, Summer Kids, and Summer Student Nights.
Our Summer Study is every Wednesday at 6:30pm. Click here to join us online for practical training on missional living and group conversation each week.
We'd love to have you connect with the large group time and also a small group gathering.
COVID-19 UPDATE: Relationships and social connection are more essential now than ever. Our groups continue to meet (through online hangouts) during this time of COVID-19 precautions. Please let us know you're interested and we can connect you with a group in our community today!
Transformation happens in community. Our small groups are the heart and life of ICC. They are the primary means to experience community, service, and spiritual growth. We encourage you to commit to involvement in a group - you will be so glad you did! Click here to find a group and sign up.
SUMMER SERVE: You can sign-up to help care for one of the residents at the Glenmary! During this season with limited visitors allowed, our caring friends can make phone calls, write letters, and take other practicals steps to remind the Glenmary residents that they are still loved and not alone. Click here to sign-up to serve. Contact our Local Ministry Interim Director, Chris Memminger, at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
AFTER COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS: Every month, ICC spends our first Tuesday hosting Trivia Night for the residents of the Glenmary Retirement Home in Midtown. Trivia Night is consistently one of the most anticipated events for residents of the Glenmary, many of whom cannot get out on their own. It provides a unique environment where we can love, laugh, eat and spend time with others who desperately need company and friendship. Serve with us next month, February 4th at 6:00pm. Meet at the Glenmary in Midtown. Sign up to serve online.
SUMMER SERVE: We'd love to have you join us serving in Uptown! We'll have several different opportunities this summer, ranging from prayer walks, backyard Bible camps, and serving with Memphis Athletic Ministries. Click here to sign-up to serve. Contact Chris Memminger, our Local Ministry Interim Director, at email@example.com for more information.
AFTER COVID- PRECAUTIONS: Join us as we partner with Memphis Athletic Ministries at Greenlaw Place to love and mentor the kids of the Uptown neighborhood. There will be plenty of fun, smiles and laughter; all we need is you! You will love the opportunity to invest yourself through fun games, casual conversations, and developing relationships. You can make a huge difference in a child's life as you take time to get to know them and love them as God has loved us. You may be the very mentor they need. Our monthly ministry time with M.A.M. meets at Greenlaw Community Center in Uptown (190 Mill Avenue, 38105). Sign up to serve online.
SUMMER SERVE: If you have a heart for the hurting and sick, sign-up to serve with our St. Jude Target House team! We'll be meeting regularly to pray, serve, and plan for caring for the children and families who are at St. Jude Target House. Click here to sign-up to serve. Contact Chris Memminger, our Local Ministry Interim Director, at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
AFTER COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS: ICC has been a long-time partner with St. Jude's Target House to serve their families in our community. For years, we have provided a consistent group to offer crafts and hope to families. We take a group of volunteers the third Monday of each month in an effort to give kids a couple of hours to just "be a kid" and forget about the difficulties they are facing. Time at the Target House is one of the most rewarding experiences. Our ministry event begins at 6:00pm and will last no more than two hours. The Target House is located at 1811 Poplar Avenue in Midtown. It is best to enter from the side entrance on McLean and proceed to the back of the building entrance. Sign up online.
THIS SUMMER: Join us this Friday at 6:30pm for a time of teaching, sharing, and community! This is such a powerful opportunity to invite Jesus into any hurt, habit, or addiction you have in life. For more information, contact Rob Hodum, Celebrate Recovery ministry leader, at email@example.com.
Before you arrive, please make sure that you've considered the following questions:
Do you have a fever?
Have you been exposed to a known COVID-19 patient?
Do you have any symptoms of COVID-19 including a dry cough, headache, or fever?
Have you been tested and have you received positive results?
If you've answered yes to any of these questions, we ask that you please remain at home and rest.
AFTER COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS: Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered recovery program with foundations firmly established in Biblical truth. It was designed as a program to help those struggling with hurts, habits, and hang-ups by showing them the loving power of Jesus Christ through a recovery process. Celebrate Recovery offers participants a clear path of salvation and discipleship; bringing hope, freedom, sobriety, and healing through Jesus Christ. Whether it be addiction, anxiety, alcoholism, abuse, abandonment or anything else, there is no problem too big or too small that we cannot face together as a Celebrate Recovery community. Join us Fridays at 6:30.
COVID-19 UPDATE: Global Missions Focus has been postponed.
We are so thankful to have many in our church community who have felt God's stirring or call upon their hearts & lives to move toward missions full-time. We have an intentional fellowship group meeting monthly that is designed to provide needed encouragement, exploration, community and equipping with a view toward sending. It is our hope that God will bless and use this group to send many from ICC into the world to serve the needy and share the grace and love of Christ. Whether you are early in the exploration process or ready to pack-up tomorrow and go, we invite you to commit to this group. Interested? Contact us today.
We are so excited to announce this NEW podcast & resource for encouragement and discipleship! Every week, you will have opportunity to hear from ministry leaders in the community, inspiring stories of faith, points of growth from thought leaders, global missions perspectives, and encouragement from Scripture. We believe this will be an amazing resource for all of us. Click here to listen and subscribe to our podcast!
Did you know we have an online giving option at ICC? You can make one-time or recurring financial gifts to Island Community Church online through our website. This is a great way to give faithfully and regularly. It's simple, secure, and quick to set-up. Click here to be redirected now.
All donations are tax-deductible and will be reported year-end just as all other contributions to our church. Thank you for your continued support of the ministries of ICC in Memphis and around the world!
